How to Request a New User or Process a Leaver
Request new user setup or process a leaver through support.
New Starter
To set up a new user, email support@edisonnetworks.net with the following:
- Full name
- Job title
- Start date
- Email address required (e.g., firstname.lastname@yourcompany.com)
- Which systems they need access to
- Phone extension required? (yes/no)
- Any shared mailboxes or groups they need to be added to
- Who to base their permissions on (e.g., 'same access as John Smith')
Please give us at least 3 working days' notice for new starters.
Leaver
When someone leaves, email support@edisonnetworks.net with:
- Full name and email address
- Last working date
- Whether to forward their emails to someone else (and who)
- Whether their files/data need to be transferred to someone
- Whether their phone extension should be reassigned
We will disable their account on their last day, set up any email forwarding, and retain their data according to your company's policy.
Important: Please notify us of leavers as soon as possible for security reasons.
