Microsoft Teams — Joining Meetings and Screen Sharing
Join Teams meetings and share your screen with these quick steps.
Joining a Teams Meeting
- From the calendar invite: Click the 'Join Microsoft Teams Meeting' link in the email or calendar entry
- From the Teams app: Go to Calendar on the left sidebar, find the meeting, and click Join
- By phone: Dial the number shown in the meeting invite and enter the conference ID
Screen Sharing
- During a meeting, click the Share button (square with arrow icon) in the meeting toolbar
- Choose what to share: Entire screen, Window, or PowerPoint Live
- Click Stop Sharing when done
Common Issues
- Can't share screen? Ask the meeting organiser to promote you to presenter.
- No audio? Check your speaker and microphone settings — click the three dots > Device settings.
- Poor video quality? Turn off your camera if bandwidth is limited, or switch to phone audio.
