Setting Up Your Softphone
Set up your softphone to make and receive calls from any device.
A softphone lets you make and receive calls from your computer or mobile phone using your office extension.
Desktop Setup
- Download the softphone application provided by Edison Networks
- Open the app and enter your credentials: Username (your extension number), Password (provided by your administrator), Server/Domain (as provided during onboarding)
- Click Sign In
- Test by making a call to a colleague or your mobile
Mobile Setup
- Download the softphone app from the App Store or Google Play
- Enter the same credentials as above
- Allow the app to access your microphone and contacts when prompted
- Ensure 'Push Notifications' are enabled so you receive incoming calls
Tips
- Use a headset for better call quality
- Ensure your internet connection is stable — poor WiFi affects call quality
- Keep the app updated to the latest version
